Everyone’s points have been counted up and we have a podium. It was a very tight race for second and third. Who will it be? The final classification will be published Monday morning. Stay tuned for a great final results list complete with full results and special titles for those who made it memorable. With 24 total participants you’re gonna want to see who got first, last and everything in-between. Viva le Tour!

Check out the view from the BMC VIP area. I am sitting at one of the tables enjoying a wonderful lunch looking at the finish line of the tour about 75 meters away. This is crazy!

I am very excited to currently be in Switzerland at BMC’s headquarters. After arriving today in Zurich, we had a long transfer to the headquarters in a sauna of a van. By time we jumped out, we headed straight to the employee kitchen to get water since we were all soaked in sweat and about to pass out! Soon we were situated in the hotel and eating lunch with our waitress being an old school frau. She wasn’t too happy with me as I kept leaning back on the chair. A couple of times she slammed it down and read me the riot act. Following lunch, a few of us went out for a quick ride on some of their demo bikes (they are saving the Impec for tomorrow!) The countryside was beautiful. It was a great ride even though we were totally jetlagged. While riding, we passed this amazing building. I noticed the logo on the side of the building and I thought I recognized it. Turns out it was Rolex’s world headquarters. Maybe Ryan will get a surprise from Switzerland (more likely from Swatch than Rolex). Had a great dinner with the BMC USA staff and the handful of other dealers that are here. Looking forward to a great weekend meeting everyone at BMC Suisse, seeing their new production line for the Impec & going to the finish of the tour! Wish Ryan was here with me but we will be meeting up in the Basque country next week.

So Ryan and I have had to hang out at the shop a bit today because the shop is being used in a movie (long story). First a big thanks to Caroline for hanging out a lot longer today we did. There was some serious miscommunication and thankfully Caroline offered to help!

Anyhow, this guy pulls up on his bike to check out what is going on at the shop. We notice the “waterbottle” on his bike and he comments that it is his swamp cooler. Hilarious!

After an unpleasant day, it made the day.
