LADIES RIDE!

by alison, 10 April, 2010

We just wanted to let everyone know about a new weekly ride starting from Contender. Starting at 5:30pm on Wednesday nights, there is a ladies ride led by Kami Kahler. This ride will be a fun way to meet other riders and hopefully build on your fitness and riding expertise!

Ride length and route selection will vary based on participants and weather/daylight conditions. The ride is open to anyone who wants to come!

If you want to drive to the ride, it might be best to park at Smiths on 900E and 800S and then meet in front of the shop.

The first ride was this last Wednesday. Even with the cold weather we had a great turnout! It looks like the weather should be on the upswing so come and join in for some fun!

It was an awesome event and thanks to all those who participated. What do the rollers have in store for us next time? Whatever it is it’s going to be a blast. I welcome your comments and ideas for the next roller race.

Drawing winners come on down to the store to claim your prize and swap your roller stories. Congratulations roller kings.

Brian x2

by patrick, 12 February, 2010

More contestants have come up to the rollers and given them their best spin. First timers as well as people making second attempts blasted their legs today. Shop favorite Eric Scaiff is behind Josh Hickman by 1/100th of a kilometer. Now that’s tight! This weekend should be quite interesting as we’re down to the last couple of days of competition.

Brian “Ultimate motivation” Meacham came in today and not only did he tie his personal best but went for another try about ten minutes later. For your efforts Brian you get an extra five tickets for the lottery.
